Hope Recovery

Every person carries incredible value, strength, and resilience.

Life brings its share of pain and loss, and those experiences can feel overwhelming—sometimes even shaping how we see ourselves. Too often, it’s hard to find a place where we genuinely feel safe, accepted, and understood. Yet, finding true belonging is essential for healing and growth.

In my counseling practice, I believe it’s vital that you know you are welcome here. You matter. Your safety and sense of belonging come first, and together, we can work toward healing in a space where your worth is never in question.

About Me

I counsel in the way I’d want to be counseled: with honesty, tough truths, and genuine connection

My name is Cindy Dick, and I’ve called Southern Oregon home for most of my life—except for the years I spent at George Fox University earning my bachelors in social work, and at Willamette University, where I completed my master’s in education. Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of counseling and teaching classes, and helping people grow and learn is truly what I love most.

A big part of my experience has been counseling adolescents, in clinical settings, in the juvenile department, and as a secondary school counselor.  Supporting adolescents and young adults—especially as they navigate disconnection, loneliness, trauma, and grief—is not just something I care about deeply; it’s a passion and a gift I feel called to share.

When people ask how I approach counseling, I tell them I do it the way I’d want to be counseled: with honesty, tough truths, and genuine connection. If I don’t sense a real connection with a counselor, I know it’s not the right fit for me—and I encourage anyone considering working with me to look for that same sense of connection.

For me, stories are at the heart of how we connect. Sharing our stories isn’t just something I do in sessions—it’s a fundamental way that people relate to and understand one another. Beyond my professional experience, I’m passionate about encouraging others and building relationships that help people move forward. If you’re looking for someone who will walk alongside you with honesty and encouragement, I’d love to talk.
